HEY food!

Saturday I helped Whitney move. Or more accurately I lay on the couch in horrible pain and watched other people help Whitney move. I made that sandwich, that fantastic looking sandwich for breakfast and it nearly killed me.

I had gotten up really early so I could go to the paint store in Newton where you can get environmentally friendly paint, but didn’t eat before I left. Since Pennsic I have been hungry, like all the time and that morning I already felt kind of weird. So by the time I got home I was ready to eat Jersey (he’s got more meat on his bones than Abbey). I quickly constructed the sandwich and proceeded to wolf it down. Somewhere around 15 minutes later I decided I would be happier if I died. I’m not sure what it was but I think maybe the smoky maple bacon marinated tempeh was too much.

If you don’t have a stupid stomach like mine make this sandwich. I used Food For Life’s multigrain rice bread, two eggs pan scrambled, and one Soy Kaas white (cheddar? American?) cheese slice with three pieces of the tempeh which I had fried in canola oil until it was brown on both sides.

Later, when I felt better, I was able to eat some food at Friday’s where we’d gone for lunch after loading all of Whitney’s stuff into her new place. Then very much later we had Chinese from the “good” place in Ayer. It was fine. I ended up eating the leftovers for breakfast on Sunday. (too much garlic!)
